During the 1980's Michael Thommes worked for various banks and finance companies and very clearly recognised that there was a distinct lack of forward thinking lenders who allowed their Managers little or no flexibility to "stick their neck out" for a good business.
He set up his own business in 1989 to help other businesses throughout the UK raise money to achieve their financial goals.
Michael has experienced both the highs and the lows throughout his business career to date, enjoying growth and success throughout almost twenty years and also seeing his company General Finance Centre fail and go into receivership in 2008 after battling to survive for over 12 months.
